Billie Jean Bachmann 5/07/2017 3:23 PMHad an amazing time camping. Instead of using a propane stove, I challenged my friend to a small ecochallange of cooking over the fire pit. It was a little less convenient for breakfast, but supper came out awesome. All those years of tagging along with my brother's boy scout troop finally paid off! -

They've taken an interest in all the things I've learned in this class which makes me happy. His 10 year old told me that she's been making a point to make sure all the lights are off when no one is using them. Small people can make changes too! -
Billie Jean Bachmann 5/04/2017 5:33 PMToday I spent the day outside rock climbing with my climbing group. Instead of everyone bringing their own snacks, I volunteered to bring snacks for everyone. As a result, everyone enjoyed organic and locally grown fruits and veggies. For protein, I made fresh ground peanut butter and local honey sandwiches on bread made by a local baker. I also convinced people to car pool, so there were only two cars driven out to the crag. Additionally, I redpointed my climbing project for the first time today. -
Billie Jean Bachmann 5/01/2017 1:52 PMThis Sunday I hosted an outdoor yoga class at my apartment complex. We had 13 people come out and do yoga outside in the courtyard. It was a lot of fun and a great way to connect with people outside. -

Billie Jean Bachmann 4/27/2017 7:07 AMI've switched from running on a treadmill in the evening to waking up a little earlier in the morning and running outside. So I'm not missing out on sleep, I go to bed a little earlier on days I do that. If I am working out in the evening (I'm taking a health class and we're doing a lot of cardio right now) I use the elliptical for my cardio portion since my movement generates its power. -

I also hiked in Brazos Bend State Park on Saturday! I saw several 3 meter alligators while I was there and toooooons of caterpillars.-
